Corsair Ram For Mac

  1. Corsair Ram For Mac Review

The total time to upgrade your MacBook’s memory is under 10 minutes. I used a MacBook Pro 17-inch mid-2010 model, and upgraded it from its current 4GB kit to a Corsair 8GB Mac Memory kit. To upgrade your MacBook's memory you will need a Phillips #00 screwdriver as the screws are very tiny. Your Mac is an extension of yourself—so make it personal. CORSAIR iCUE software for macOS puts your entire setup at your command, all through a single interface. Orchestrate every last detail of your compatible CORSAIR peripherals: synchronize dynamic RGB lighting effects, create custom macros, hone your mouse’s sensitivity in single DPI. I bought the Corsair DDR3 RAM with the intention of upgrading the RAM for my 2012 Macbook Pro. Compared to the standard 4gb that comes in the 2012 model, this product doubles the amount of RAM that I am able to use. For an excellent price, my laptop now runs incredibly smoothly. Corsair Vengeance LPX – best Low-Profile RAM; G.Skill Mac RAM – best Mac RAM; Crucial Ballistix Sport – best Laptop RAM; Corsair Vengeance LED is just as fast and responsive as it is. Very good ram and GHz always been looking for ram under $100 for DDR4 and this is the great option for that CORSAIR - VENGEANCE LPX Series 16GB (2PK 8GB) 2.4GHz DDR4 Desktop Memory - Black' ' I bought two for my iMac.

Hey guys, I've been looking forward into doing the first upgrade to my MBP (MacBook Pro) which is the model 9,2 (Mid 2012) with Intel Core i5 / 2.5 GHz. So my question is pretty easy but I want to make sure I'm correct before spending the money, and later finding out it was useless.

I am between 2 different options of upgrading my ram. (Both 16GB (2x8GB).

Ram

The first one is the Corsair Vengeance 16GB RAM (2x8), 204 pins, Auto-Overclocking (no bios configuration required), which has 1600MHz, and 1.5V (Voltage).

The second option I've considered is also from Corsair, but instead is Mac Memory. This one has as well 1600 MHz, and it's specific for MAC, and also has 204 pins, but the voltage is 1.35V. and has 11-11-11-30 CAS timing. Now, this one I think it's pretty obvious will absolutely fit into my MBP since it's MAC MEMORY.

NOTE: Both are DDR3 Memory.

Which do you think would be better to put into my MacBook Pro? Btw, which is the appropiate Voltage for my MacBook Pro?

Thanks guys! Hope you have the answer to my question.

Later.

you can downgrade provided the line of your mac was released at the time of a given OS X, however the 2017 is not eligible for OS 10.11; the release of that system was on June 5, 2017 when Sierra was public and honestly Sierra is not going to be much different than 10.13 if thats what comes on the device. If you do decide to downgrade to 10.12 your device will still be in warranty.

If the RAM is compatible and the same form factor you should have no cons.

260 Pin PC4-19200 DDR4 2.4GHz.

you may see a little bit of a slug during boot and initial mount of the OS, but nothing more than that - and it may be imperceptible.

More RAM is generally far more Pro than Con especially if you are doing 3D or Video Editing.
